The Framework Mesh
I talked about the importance of the framework mesh in the "what is it?" section of this site.
The Framework mesh is the goal of any modelling task. It is the most flexible, editable and lightweight description of your model which will be used as the basis for conversion to hundreds of different variations and use cases.

It will always be 2 manifold, watertight and quad based. It will endure anything a creative team will want to do to it. This is the most important mesh in a production.
